Having recently announced the formation of Compound Islands label situation in Jamaica and hosting not one but two parties on the island in Negril this coming weekend during the popular Emancipation Weekend, Jamaica appears to be r&b star Ne Yo‘s second home. Now, the gentleman of r&b becomes yet another US artist to remix a dancehall song. As good as I personally think the original is, it isn’t an extremely popular song by Mavadomaking it an interesting choice.
Ne-Yo has done dancehall influenced songs before (“Miss Independent”, “So Sick”, “Hate That I Love You” with Rihanna to name a few) so he’s right at home. I’ve been reliably informed there will be a video for this. Stay tuned.
