Guidelines for music submissions:
- This is the most important one – make the email personal. If it looks as if you’ve sent exactly the same email to 100 other blogs, then it will probably get deleted. Even if you have sent it to 100 other blogs, you can still make it look personal by including a message and not just copying and pasting a big biography of the artist and a couple of pictures!
- Include a link to a site where the song can be streamed or downloaded – e.g Soundcloud, Hulkshare or YouTube. If you do not want your song to be on the internet yet, then that is fine but having an option to stream it is much quicker and easier.
- Include a couple of pictures. If it’s a song and not a video, we’ll need to include a picture if we post it.
- If you don’t hear back or see your music posted, don’t despair! It’s never because it isn’t good enough, it might not be our particular style or direction. We don’t often post covers, freestyles and remixes by unsigned artists, but we’d love you to be the first! Link us with fresh content and when it does get blogged share the love on Facebook and Twitter!
